Thanksgiving with the Gibson-Doxey crew. Always a party but I will say this year was on of my personal favorites Thanksgiving days with this group.
We got in town late Wednesday night, as always, after a very snowy drive. Doug and I always feel so hammered after making that drive into the late hours of the night. But anyway...
Thanksgiving: the annual fun run was canceled because it was 14 degrees. Doug and I went anyway, and loved being able to run around P-town. The feast was held at DoTerra, which was so nice of Rob and crew to offer it. As a result, we had plenty of space. The fabulous feast was followed by the family gift exchange and then an huge Nerf gun war. Grammie bought every single person their personal nerf gun, divided us into two teams and we battled it out in the multi-purpose room at DoTerra. What a hoot!
All that running around got our stomachs ready for pie- I think we had almost 30 this year. That's like half a pie per person! After clean up we ended the night with a talent show. Which ended up being so fun! Leah and Paige played the piano and Sydney even got up on stage to show off some of her ballet skills. The teenage boys did a dance to the "Nay-Nay" song, which was hilarious. Greg unicycled. It was great!
The rest of the weekend was filled with more partying. Hanging out at the church with the younger kids- ending with a Mom vs. kids soccer game. A visit to see Santa in the frigid outdoors. A night with Grammie telling stories. BYU game. And girls shopping trip with grammie to pick out our gifts from her. The adult date night, which I'm just always so grateful that nieces are willing to babysit our kids.
We are really blessed to come from and be surrounded by such great family!

Caroline, Natalie, and Paige went straight to the front of the line.

This is a fun group of girls, and I love that they have a lifetime of memories together ahead of them.

We ran into Bath and Body works to get out of the cold, and of course ended up making some purchases...and the kids came out smelling like a smorgasbord of every spray possible.

Tommy had enough confidence to share with Sydney and Jackson, who later joined him on the stage to share their talents too. We saw karate and ballet moves, maybe even some kung-fu in there.

These three were right up there on the front lines.

I think Ruby was sick of Brigham after the first few hours.
On our thankful turkey:
Dad: AK- her love and consideration of others & desire to always be improving
Mom: Nature, Doug- because he is so patient and loves me no matter what, Paige is a hard worker and very sweet, Brigham- the best son ever. Sydney has such a fun-silly laugh, Leah- is so sweet and cares about everyone.
Leah: For mom buying me stuff, "If I didn't have a mom and dad I will probably die. So I am grateful for my mom and dad to take care of me", for dad buying me stuff
Paige: "Mom is the best mom in the world", "Grandpa is the best donald duck speaking and is very fun, "Grandma is very good at teaching me piano", Halllie- If I didn't have Hallie I would be alone. Dad is very funny and also very nice
Sydney: Thanksgiving and Christmas cause its snowing,
