NYC with Gib-Dox gals

To say we really pulled this off last min is an under-statement! Cosi had told Mom she'd take her on a trip for her birthday and then somehow it ended up being a ladies trip with two weeks to put it together. But we had such a blast!  I wasn't going to go but Heidi talked me into, and I'm so glad- I feel like I really got to know my in-laws on a different level because we always have all our kids with us not to mention everything else to goes on with reunions.  I wish I had taken a picture of every single thing but here are the highlights:
  • Flying with Heidi and meeting up with Em in LA
  • Being there the same time as the pope and "hoping" to run into him the whole time.
  • Freedom Tower
  • Wicked
  • Laughing so hard in the Green Elevator on the Highline
  • Eating our way through the city, Especially Chelsea Market
  • Running in Central Park with Cosi, Dorothy, and Cheri
  • Walking across Brooklyn Bridge- although I planned it and didn't realize Leslie was in a walking boot, Debbie had on a neck brace, and Mom's back killed her!
  • Grimaldi's pizza after the bridge...we were all a bit hangry by then!
  • Daddy Long Legs- off Broadway musical
  • Street performers, as always
  • Pranks with Obama toilet paper, fake mice, and whoopie cushions
  • The Met- Mom in a wheelchair :)
  • Taking a carriage down through Central park as Heidi and I had to leave
  • The chaos of Heidi not having her driver's license once we got to the airport to go home, and the kind TSA guy who worked her through it, tears and all.
I married into a great family...I sure love all these ladies!
