We headed up to Boston for a Podiatry conference, nice to have an almost-all-expenses-paid trip. And even better that we have two family members up there to hang out with. We stayed close to Salem, but a couple people advised us to steer clear of Salem around Halloween.
We got to hang out a lot with Dave, Karla, and boys which we don't get to do enough of. They are so fun to hang out with. Karla took us to a gorgeous farm with so many fun things for the kids.
We went on a double date with Dave and Karla- good times, and they kept the kids at their house so Doug and I got to go back to the hotel alone and even got in a run together in the morning- always priceless time spent with my hubby.
Ryan and Amber's family joined us Saturday and we biked along the Charles around Boston Harbor- absolutely beautiful! Seven bikes, three bike trailers, and a baby seat. We stopped at the greatest playground I've ever been to and then ventured over to Boston Commons where we played a killer game of football and met up with Doug.
I think the strange sight for the day was the Quiditch game going on in one of the fields by the river. This was no "lets get together and have fun," this was the real deal. There was some serious training going on here. Started up with pushups, laps, etc. Good times!
From the Boston Harbor we headed over to Karla and Dave's church for the biggest Trunk-or-Treat I've ever seen. Three double rows of cars (so six lines of cars all together). They came home with some major loot! And I didn't get one picture, dangit!
Sunday, Karla prepared a fabulous dinner and then we had to say good-bye and drive home before Sandy hit the roads.
Its always so much fun to be with family and as always, I'm so grateful we have family members relatively close to us (like less than 20 hours). Thanks for the good times peeps!

| The mountain of hay |
| Leah really did enjoy picking apples, she just likes attitude for her pictures! |
| Syd stole a bite out of every apple she could get her hands on. |
| Thomas has no fear, "see guys, you just touch it...not a big deal!" |
| This train took you to all the different areas of the farm, such a cute place! |
| Look at how cute this is, all walkways lined and covered with grape vines. |
| Date night. Waiting for our reservation we played a game at CVS, 'pick and item for the other person to ask a price-check for' seriously felt like a BYU co-ed again, but we had some good laughs. |
| Oh, these two girls. |
| Leah held Syd the whole way back to the car. |
| Great weather. Great ride. Awesome people. Good day. |
| There wasn't much of a platform at the top so getting the train together was quite the task. |
| Blake and Syd defying gravity! |
| As always Dave will find any way to make Karla nervous. Jump, Thomas, Jump! |
| Blake, Syd, and Thomas...such a fun group of babies. |
| Taking advantage of the many leaves outside the church building, a very reverent activity. |

Great pictures. I love all of them. Hallie said her favorite day in her whole life was going in the bike trailer with Paige. She always tells me when I take a picture of her to "send it to Paigey".
