As my children get older, holidays become more and more magical and anticipated (yes we have listened to Christmas music a couple times this year).
We went up to Boston last weekend and apparently missed the last-minute-in-preparation-for-Sandy trick-or-treating. They changed it to Saturday night. The girls were bummed, thank goodness for trunk-or-treat!
My sister-in-law introduced the Halloween candy fairy to us and I'm hoping the girls decide to put out their candy out tonight in exchange for some cash (this candy laying around is really putting a damper on my goals, well it's more my lack of control around candy but whatever).

This is what my mom would have us chant on the morning of November 1st every year.
