Paige gets a bit of homework every once in a while. But its not much. The week before Thanksgiving, she brought home an assignment for a PROJECT. I had been feeling sick so I kept putting her off every time she asked when it was time to start, not a mom highlight of mine thus far.
Finally the night before it was due, we decided to tackle the project for FHE. She was supposed to disguise the turkey so it wouldn't get eaten for Thanksgiving. As creative as we are...we went with a surgeon. She was thrilled with the idea and so excited that Dad was going to let us cut up some of his scrubs.
The best part about the project? Doug and I did most of the work, we were those parents. She just had some say in what she wanted the doctor to look like. But, Paige definitely felt important that night, the fact that both parents were so involved with her and her project. She was so excited to take it to school!
And if I do say so myself...I think it turned out quite nicely!
