I'll Count those eggs...

...before they hatch.

Here are a few pictures to illustrate why my life might get a little easier sometime soon.  Today was the first day Leah picked a toy and carried it around with her all day. Meaning, she didn't get tired of it quickly. This COULD mean that I start to get more time out of her toys.  Also, Paige held her bottle today. I'm still nursing but I'm all too excited to stop- you know after three years of pregnant-nursing-pregnant-nursing  (Amy- you can relate!).  Plus since Paige sits up very well now, she doesn't cry as much. Toys will keep her preoccupied for a little while, until she notices I'm not there anymore-- it's something!

With all this said, I totally love my girls. Parenting has been a challenge lately but it doesn't mean that they aren't the cutest and best things that ever happened to Doug and me.

This was a good toy for Leah to play with. She would "draw" and pay so much attention to "detail" and then erase and start over. Very fun to watch.

I remember those days! Try filling a large bowl with rice, placing it on a large sheet (so when they spill it you can just fold it up and put it back in) and then hiding things in it for them to find. This was a favorite of my daughters when she was that age and we spent a lot of time inside.

Our favorite hidden object was the electric toothbrush because it vibrated until she could find it. This helps babies because it gives them a hint.

It's kinda like an indoor sand box but a lot less messy. It helps kill some time!

That has got to be the best thing ever! I love when babies start holding their own bottles! And I definitely can relate. And I am impressed that Leah would play with one toy for so long. My kids still haven't figured that one out! I hope things continue to get better for ya!

Congrats on maybe being done with nursing soon - freedom (at least a little more). Your girls are so cute! It's so fun to see them grow and develop. Annie hasn't had any separation anxiety when I'm not around - yet. I'm soon it'll happen before long. Sounds like Paige just wants you around all the time.

I'm sorry things have been challenging lately. I don't have any good advice. Maybe you could get it all figured out by the time Annie hits that stage? :)
