My sisters, Erika, Karla, and Laura came to visit us last week. We had a blast but as always, seeing NYC can be exhausting. I did an awful job at capturing all the fun but here are some highlights:
We spent the better part of Monday in Central Park. We enjoyed a great lunch at the Boathouse which is next to the canoe pond in the background of this picture. This is the restaurant from 27 Dresses, if you saw that.
We found the hulu-hoop man in central park. Laura's got the smallest hips but boy they can move! Leah was very frustrated that the hula wouldn't keep going around her body.
Lilly and Paige hanging out at the beach.
My sisters were nice enough to let Doug and I go on a date. Because they were at OUR house and we didn't have to get home for a sitter, we stayed out until 1 am! We haven't done that in a long time! We went out and enjoyed a romantic walk on the beach.
Are you salivating? You should be because this was all AMAZING!
Yes, we each ordered our own things at Max Brenner's and had no problems
putting it down. Jensens can pound the sweets.
Me, Lilly and Laura at Max Brenners. I love this picture of Lilly.
Just Karla and an Indian outside the Falafel restaurant we stopped at in the Village
This is on the way back from Staten Island. Notice that Karla is wearing the backpack- it was great to have some help getting around the city.
Basically we ate a lot. This has become one of my favorite places to eat.
It's called 'The Barking Dog' It's reasonably priced, delicious, and has a huge
courtyard outside- delicate property in NYC.
Everything was really fun but mostly I just loved being with my sisters. They're the best.

That is so fun that your sisters were able to come out! New York is so fun and being with your sisters probably made it that much better! I love Max Brenners and got jealous just looking at that picture.
Amber--
That all looks like so much fun! I honestly can't believe that you pounded that much chocolate at Max Brenners!!! I about died with the one item we shared! I guess Jensen's are amazing. :) Thanks for the update. I'm so glad you and Doug stayed out until 1 am. Too bad it can't happen more often. It is a pain to pay a babysitter.
More later--
Julia
Oh what fun!! I couldn't think of any group more fun to do NYC with than you Jensen girls, honestly.
I really hope I can come visit you next year some time, maybe not in the dead of winter.

Looks like ya'll had some good times! Staying out til 1:00 am on a date walking along the beach sounds like a rare treat. Also, I can not believe you guys got cheap tickets to WICKED again. Aww...the good fortune of the Jensens.
Oh man! Looks like so much fun. That is great that you could hang out with your sisters! I hurt inside when I saw the pics of Max Brenner. Ahh. I wish I was eating some of their melted chocolate right now! You are such a good host in New York!
