Two weeks ago we took a weekend trip up to New England. It was a quick one but was buckets of fun. Seriously we had such a blast in two short days.
The occasion was for Aubrie's baptism. We really are so lucky to live close enough to make it to some family events. My parents were able to come out so Karla and Dave decided to bless baby James as well. And that same week, Doug was called to serve on the High Council, so my Dad was able to ordain him a high priest. Like I said it was loaded with events.
We drove up after work on Friday so that we could have a full day to spend together on Saturday. We went for a run, watched Robbie play (and score) his first soccer game. Then we headed to Maine to go to the beach. The water was freezing but the waves perfect! New England is so gorgeous!

Love this pic- Grandpa helping Aubs boogie board while her Dad cheers!

Ryan and Grandpa catching the waves. My Dad didn't come out until it was time to leave, he was completely numb but didn't care- just like a little boy.

Then we visited the Nubble Lighthouse in York, such a sight!

Right after this picture was taken, the fisherman caught a seagull! Nice!

The gang, we missed the Pratts on our Saturday adventure.
Dave gave James a very sweet blessing and then Karla fed us a fabulous brunch. We really feel so blessed to be close to my brother and sister. Being able to see family every once in a while has been fabulous...not to mention being able to make it to special events!
