and yet I still complain. It's 10:30 am. My kids are on their second movie and have already eaten cookies and chocolate milk. I've been telling myself to spin since 7:30. I finally put my exercise clothes on and sat on the bike and just cried. It's been one of those exhausting, daunting weeks. If Doug only had to put in 40 hours, we would have had him home early yesterday for the rest of the week. I know, we signed up for this but it's still hard. And fyi Paige is the worst sick child ever! Don't even try to show that you love her and want to care for her!
*When my mom was here, I kept asking about hard days for her as a young mother and either my mom was totally amazing (which she is) or she's forgotten. I think I would like my children to read about my bad days so that when their mom's, they know it's normal.

I'm sorry you had such a bad day! If it helps, I think you are an amazing mom.
The other night we had knititng group at Ellen Lariago's house and she was telling us about her job as a "nanny" and how the mom is a "Stay at home mom" who doesn't even want to be with her own kids. She would rather lunch, tennis and be at the spa with other people.
It made me think about all of us that stay at home with our children on a regular basis. So they watch a little too much TV, they eat cookies for breakfast, they stay in their jammies all day long, they get yelled at because mom is tired, they see mom cry a little bit, dinner is order out pizza and it is to bed with no songs or books because it has been a long day. Even if this happened every day, at least our kids 1- know who we are, 2- love us(even though sometimes it doesn't show) and 3- get the love and attention they deserve from their mom!
You are doing an amazing job! The hard days are hard! Chin up!
I have the same thoughts. I never remember my mom yelling or freaking out. How were they so good? There isn't a day that goes by that I don't yell at my kids. Just know you aren't alone with how you feel.
Do you want me to come get your kids for a week? :) No, just kidding. We need to live next door to each other. It would be easier to help huh! :)
Don't think long term, just worry about today only. That has been my mantra for 4 weeks and it is working (mostly...)
