Good Weekend

We were finally able to go to the beach with Dad today. It is so fun to see Doug " in his element." When he goes to places like the beach he quickly turns into a little kid. It took about 30 seconds after putting up the umbrella for Doug to sprint into the waves. It was a beautiful day and a great opportunity for Doug and Nick (his school friend) to blow off some stress after three tests this week. Our friends, Nick and Angelica, came with us and we all took turns getting destroyed by the waves, but who doesn't like being tossed around? Leah is a typical beach bum: sitting under the umbrella with some good grub. She ate three Clementine's and here is trying to bite into a fourth. She's pretty serious about eating this one.
Nick and Doug (catching the wave). What you can't see is how close to the shore these waves begin and break.
I personally think this is a great picture, she looks so pensive.
Friday we went to the very famous Shake Shack at Madison Square Park. We had heard that this was the best place to get a good burger and custard concrete. We were told there's usually a LINE but it ended up being an almost TWO HOUR LINE. It was fun though because it's literally a shack in the middle of the park and the line wrapped around part of the park, then you eat outside. It was a fun experience but I will say it just didn't compare to In-n-Out like people said.

I think I've heard of this place on some show on "The Food Network". I doubt their burgers could top In N Out, but it wouldn't take much to top In N Out's shakes.

I have always wanted to go to the Shake Shack. It is near my office but the line is always way to long.

I love the beach hat!
