I love the three week Christmas break from school. We always have one more week to just lounge around and adjust back into life after traveling- no one likes to rush back into school! But that also means that where I go, the gang goes. The other day we were at Raley's doing some grocery shopping. Lately Brigham hates any store and usually screams the whole time, ending up with me carrying him in a football hold and rushing through the store. Well maybe because I had the older girls to help entertain or maybe it was just a good day, but he was so well behaved. The girls were helping- not fighting. As we were browsing through the produce, an older woman asked if she could speak to the girls and of course I said sure...but to be honest I was a bit annoyed, maybe expecting some critique or something.
She pulled out a bag from her purse and gave each of the girls a bracelet that says, "Caught being good" on them and told the girls how impressed with their behavior. I was so "caught" off guard and impressed that this woman would carry these around and reinforce positive behavior. I loved it. I love good, kind people- and they are everywhere.
