December is good. But why does it have to be so dang busy! If anyone knows the secret to enjoying the holidays more, with less stress I'd like to know. Sometimes I think, I don't have to give neighbor/friend gifts, or send out Christmas cards, but honestly those are ways to spread cheer and tell people you love them so I think those things are important.
Anyway, here are some highlights:
The annual dinner with the Jorgensen's and Bringhurst's.
One of the three wise men was brought in on a wookie from star wars!
| Syd got to play Mary. And what a great donkey! |
I love taking the girls to do their Christmas shopping for each other. They are always so thoughtful. This year they worked so hard and each earned $20! |
We took a trip over to San Francisco where Doug ran another 50k. He did great but we got mixed up with places we could cheer and the timing, so the kids and I waited for over an hour at one location, it got a little old. But we were able to get one last visit to Six Flags on the way home, which included some fun Christmas light shows.

| I call this "ultra-spectating: |
| The race started and ended at Rodeo beach, such a beautiful place. Northern California is just beautiful. |
| Brigham didn't get much out of this sucker on the drive over. |
| I got the chance to go a music/dance performance with Paige. And they even got the parents involved in a few dances. |
| We brought back the Christmas tree pizza tradition and this one turned out pretty darn good! |
Earning money for Christmas shopping!
| Even Brig got in on the action. |
The girls had their first dance performance. Since the last two have been on Sunday's, they've missed them. We were so excited they finally got to experience performing. They were so nervous but I think they were just cuties out there!
| The most common words that come out of Sydney's mouth are, "will you play barbies with me?" |
| This boy started using a spoon. AND actually ate oatmeal! |
| My little elf, Syd, helped decorate with me all day. |
December is way too busy, but we did find time to make gingerbread houses!
And since our real Christmas tree was having a difficult time standing up, we decided to just put up our fake one. Which meant taking down decorations and then putting them on a tree again, kind of exhausting. And it also meant another star topping. All the girls were arguing about who's turn it was so we just decided Brigham would do it...I think he felt special.
