Jensen sisters trip 2015

Sisters trips are never long enough...but I guess you need to want to go home wanting more. Its really just too bad we are so spread out, which makes this trips so important and very valuable.  This year, all the men got together and gifted our trip to us for Christmas.  We're kind of in the child-bearing/baby years so it can get tricky to accommodate everyone and get the timing right. Laura had a baby three weeks ago, so we ended up going to the Hyatt in downtown Phoenix, David's company does business with them so it was pretty much free.
I got in  Thursday night and went straight to Erika and Chads. We went to bed late and still managed to get up just before six to squeeze in a seven-miler before the days events started. A lot of people look at vacation as a break from exercise, but I think its the best time to fit in more. Plus, I absolutely love running in different places and especially with people I love. Running and talking with Erika made the mileage pass so nicely.
Friday morning, as everyone else started arriving, we put on a bridal shower for Liz at Erika's house. Then we headed to the hotel.
Being from AZ, I haven't spent much time downtown. Just going to and from events. It was fun to explore a bit. And the highlights from the trip:
-Greek restaurant outside, in the downtown financial district.
-Walking past the news station and acting like fools in the background to get on camera.
-"Favorites" handouts
-Running as sisters through downtown
-Hot tubing
-Farmers market- I just love them and we had the best donuts ever!!!!
-Dinner at the revolving compass
-Talking, sleeping, laughing, without interruptions from kids
-Church at the Spanish branch
-Dinner at the Hatch farm.

And then it had to end

I got to meet sweet baby Kate

Erika set up this back drop so people could take pictures with Liz, the celebrity.

Just getting into the hotel...taking in the view.

At the Greek Restaurant.

Acting like fools to get on the news...and we were, and they loved it.

The farmers market.

The view from the Compass- just in time for sunset.
