Baby its cold outside

For some reason this winter I have had very low tolerance for the cold temperatures. I just can't ever seem to keep my core temperature up. And maybe it has something to do with the girls getting older and more antsy when cooped up inside.
I'm really running out of energy to keep the kids entertained. I have threatened to throw away all of their toys so many times because they don't play with them, so frustrating!
We have had some fun indoors, when I have found the energy to do so (does every mom out there feel completely exhausted 100% of the time?).

Riding the Polor Express.

We've gotten more snow this January, which draws the kids outside for a while. But the below freezing temps and wind-chill bring them in all too soon- also, they refuse to wear water-proof gloves so they colder faster.

I often find myself playing "waitress" with Paige and Sydney. Anything to get them excited
and get Syd to EAT!

My parents gave us a fancy waffle maker for Christmas so we decided to nix pizza one Friday night and have waffles with ice cream and strawberries. Inspired by previous trip to Max Brenners.

Before

I've been trying a lot of new recipes lately. A local grocer was selling strawberries for $.75 so I thought I'd try out these dried strawberries I found on pintrest. Six hours later and they still weren't dry...totally not as good as they looked and I have decided a complete waste of the fruit. Not worth the time or effort- or the gas bill. But hey, at least I tried it.
