Human Race

I am disgusted way too frequently with how people treat one another.
I know I sound like an old fart- pardon my french.

Today I was waiting for a green arrow to turn left and once I proceeded to obey the traffic laws, I had to slam on my breaks due to a girl making a right turn onto the same street I was turning on. She hardly stopped and clearly did not pay attention to what was going on. I caught her gaze and I said, "I have a green arrow" not in a mean voice but simply trying to inform her. I must have offended her because her quick response was, "F- off" --excuse her french!

I dropped my jaw and stared at her, in the middle of the intersection, with a line of cars behind me. I was appalled! The sad thing is that I hear this SO MUCH! Mostly from females. I spent the rest of my afternoon trying to think of what made her life/day so terrible to treat someone else that way, especially when it wasn't warranted- not that it would make it ok.

I wanted to pull over and cry, not because she said it to me but because I really am so saddened by frequency that I observe this behavior and language. I can't even count on my hands the number of times I've witnessed a girl hanging her head out a window screaming obscenities at someone, something, maybe no one. It's hideous! It breaks my heart.
