Can't even think of a title...

and I can't even think of how to begin but....I NEED HELP!

The night Doug was packing his bags to head out to Baltimore, Sydney learned how to climb out of her pack-n-play. Talk about impeccable timing! She's only 19 months, way to early! I don't know what to do. Naps and bed time the last three days have been miserable.
Syd loves me so much that she decided to time this so that it's all I can focus on while Doug is away, instead of him being away. Or it's making it worse.

Tonight, after an hour and 35 minutes of me putting her back in her bed, many prayers for patience, a few bouts of tears on my end, and finally just sitting in her room and staring at her, she gave up and laid down.

Syd is a real trip. She is all consuming. I didn't even get to kiss Leah and Paige good night before they fell asleep. The worse part is that I completely ignored them all day because I'm constantly dealing with their curious, creative, climbing 19-month sister.

This is so hard. Any advice?

I wish I had some good advice on this... I was such a wimp in this department. I TOTALLY caved and let Ellie sleep in our bed. WORST MISTAKE EVER. Took YEARS to break. But when you are sleep deprived and in survival mode you do dumb things. I feel for you!! This sounds mean, but is there any way to just lock her in a room and let her fall asleep wherever she lands? :/ Is that too awful? Oh! Those baby days are HARD!! Hang tough Amber!!! Love ya!

Oh Amber, I wish I had any advice. But I fear I'm in the same boat as you. He's not climbing out, but that boy in doing me in! I think we sorta talked about this. SO FRUSTRATING! If you figure it out, let me know! Good luck!

Recently found out you can buy a crib tent to prevent toddlers from escaping! (I think they're available for pack-n-plays, too). Our little one is 19. mo, too - I hope he stays in his crib for a looong time! Good luck!!!

Crib tents saved my life. I borrowed one from a friend when Sammy was little. It was the best thing ever. He didn't hate it either once he got used to it. He'd stand there while I zipped it up. Put out a plea via email, facebook, text, to see if anyone has one. Even Craigslist... check listings wherever you have a friend or family member who'd be willing to purchase and mail to you!!
