We were fortunate to stop in Nauvoo on our trek back to New Jersey. We spent two days with Grammie (Doug's mom), who is serving a mission there right now. We had a wonderful time and it was so enjoyable to see her in action- especially on stage! She hadn't met Sydney yet so it was a fun reunion- only 10 months old! Grammie spoiled us with lots of love as always.
We got the VIP treatment with personal tours of many of the sights.
Sister Gibson is the director of the nightly Rendezvous performance. Quite the job and just the person to do it.

One of our favorites was the Past times of Pioneers. It was all targeted to younger children so they could dress up, play, and experience some of the things kids their age did in Nauvoo.
We loved spending time with you Grammie!
