Two Weeks Later

We've had Sydney in our family for two weeks now and it's been nothing but bliss with her. She is such a good, content baby. She is so easy to love. I wouldn't exactly use the word bliss to describe the transition with the other kids, I think we could use the Super Nanny to help me figure out what to do with them. I really just want my sweet little Leah back and Paige forgot all the potty-training we went through for a while. But I expected that there would be a huge learning curve to figure out how to be a mother of three, can't wait to say I've figured it out. Luckily the girls love their new baby sister. We scored a single jogging stroller off craigslist last night, so Doug and I will be able to run together with all three girls, I'm getting soo excited to start running again and I think it'll help me cope a little.

After a million texts and calls saying I was going crazy one day, Doug took a vacation day and we discovered Wheaton Arts Village. It's really cute and if it were in Utah, it'd be swarming with moms. But here it's not crowded at all, which is very nice. Doug completes his ER rotation this weekend and I am ecstatic! I despise those 11 to 11 shifts.
Our friends from school, the Harts came to visit for the weekend. Leah and Paige loved having friends to play with and I loved having someone to talk to. We love the Harts and are so glad they're close to us.
Leah is a great big sister, still a little aggressive- a work in progress.
Typical content Sydney. Love her.

Amber - I so wish we lived close so I could kidnap the big girls for a couple of days. They just don't know what to do with all the change!! That is so awesome you got the new stroller - it will bring you some sanity. ( You are much more into fitness than I am but I know that getting out to exercise is so good - especially if you can exercise with a partner - what better partner than your hubby!!). Heavenly Father sent you little sweet Sydney - He knows we can only take so much!!! Good luck - we miss you guys.

She is a doll! I am so glad you are all doing well. Siblings adjusting can be tricky. I remember it well. But it smooths out with time. Take care! We love you guys!
