We're just about to finish the last week of our seven month adventure. We've been in Arizona the last month and I've been loving the great weather, family, and reuniting with friends. Speaking of a simple life, we're renting an apartment and have a few camping chairs, air mattresses and borrowed a folding table. It's bare but what else do you need right?
We're both happy and sad to be going back home (that is NYC, in case anyone- including me- has lost track), the only obstacle is actually finding a home in the next week. Doug had residency interviews two weeks ago, the match takes place this next month so we'll find out where we'll be the next three years in March. Yahoo! Doug has basically started a new job every month and has been working his tail off, he is going to be a great Podiatrist.
To all of our New York friends, we can't wait to see you! To all our family and friends out here...thank you for hanging out, giving us places to stay, and everything else you've done.

I was just asking Rich where you two were. I had lost track. I am glad to hear that you've enjoyed the simple life. We wish you luck. We need to call ya and catch up - maybe when you are driving cross country!!!
I bet it will be nice to get back to a "normal" life again! Good luck finding a place and congrats on making it through the past 7 months to both of you!! Can't wait to hear where the residency will be! :) Love you guys!

Wow. I can't believe your wild ride. Honestly, you guys are all troopers. You deserve to win some major award. So glad for an update! It was fun to see you during Christmas.
