Back in the Fort

We are back in Fort Collins, livin it up with Mark, Cosi, and posse. The girls are loving their times here and we arrived in time to enjoy one last week of great weather before the blizzards. We have been w/out internet for a while off and on so I've been on a slight hiatus from the www community. I'm not on my computer so I'm not uploading pics right now but for the sake of record keeping, here's some highlights I've missed...

  • Reuniting with Doug after being apart, yet again. Only one more month of the separation. So close to being done!
  • Upon Doug's arrival, he surprised me with a new bike! I went to help him unload and the bike was in the trunk with flowers on it. I think calling a couple times a week crying b/c I just wanted to go for a ride and I couldn't is what convinced him that it was a good idea. AND the fact that it was a great deal. It was my same bike, just three years newer. I love it but I even love Doug more. What a sweetie (I made him promise it would be my Christmas present).
  • Halloween in Utah. The girls were matching fairy princesses. I started making their tutu's last May (thanks to Natasha) and finished the day before Halloween. The girls loved dressing up and were so excited that there were so many trick-or-treating houses. My parents took them to the first couple houses and twice Leah turned down giant-sized candy bars for Hershey kisses, maybe she lucked out and didn't inherit my obsession with treats.
  • Warren Miller with Mark, Cos and Josh. Bring on the slopes.
  • Cosi, Paige, and I went to Dorothy and Greg's wedding this past weekend. It was a great-quick trip. The wedding was beautiful but freezing. And we even caught a viewing of 'This is It' which I LOVED! I'm a huge MJ fan, and after seeing that I'm an even bigger fan.
  • Lastly, I decided I was getting sick of fighting Leah to do her hair, it was reaching her lower-back-upper-bum area, so I cut it. In an attempt to save money and do it myself, it ended up costing me 5 inches of her long beautiful hair. Doug was very sad, but I will admit it looks good and is still quite long.
We head back to Utah for Thanksgiving, then Doug is off to NYC for December. We're all in AZ in January, and then we head back home in New York, although there is no home waiting for us, we are very excited.

Amber, yes, it was the Porto Alegre South mission. I'd be more than happy to talk to her. I remember when I was getting ready to go, I was dying to find someone I could talk to about what to pack, the climate, etc. You have number, right? You're welcome to give it to her. How exciting!!!Definitely a once in a lifetime experience.
