The Foot Ball

Doug's school has a ball every year, called the Foot Ball. We haven't gone before because it's pricey. It's an open bar so it's worth it for everyone else to pay. This year all the LDS students were able to get discounted tickets.  So for Christmas, Doug gave me the two tickets and a "coupon" to buy a dress and shoes for the event.

We had a fabulous time. I think it was definitely the nicest event I've ever been to. It was downtown at the South Street Seaport, so we over looked the East river over to Brooklyn. The food was amazing, dancing was a blast (especially once everyone else had their fare share of drinks plus some), and the best part was the company- I loved being with Doug and feeling like we were dating again, plus we love hanging out with school friends and their spouses.

Love the cocktail lounge setup.
Doug's main study gang. Some are sober...and some aren't.
Study group and spouses (minus Kirk and Sandra).
The dessert was divine. Buy the time dessert came around, not many people cared about it so chocolate being the mormons alcohol and us being the tacky people we are, we both had two.

Thanks so much Kelly and Cardon for watching the girls!
And Thanks Doug for such a great Christmas gift and a great night!

So all I wan't to know is..... Is the guy with his tounge in the other guys ear the not so sober one?

I love feeling like your dating again.... the only thing is that I can't remember when the last time that happened.

So lucky you and you look great!

Gorgeous!!! So glad to see the pics. and I am glad you had fun. Nothing like a fancy night out in the city... even without the alcohol. At least you enjoyed the night AND can still remember it!!

Loved reading your post and the pictures. There is nothing as gratifying as taking advantage of some drunks to get some extra dessert! Good work! :)
