I feel like my mind is spinning, I think I process a million things through a minute. I can't hardly concentrate on anything. Maybe I should prioritize a little bit huh? Anyway, I have a million things I want to blog about but I'll spare the deets on most of those, well OK I just mention a few...
1. Two weeks from today, we will be in AZ and I want to scream constantly with excitement. Warm weather, quality time with Doug and I can't wait to see the fam, esp my lil' sister KARLA who will be coming home from her mission- I miss her like crazy. She's been serving in LA, California and would probably serve the rest of her life is she had the chance.
2. Doug and I were initiated into a different stage of parenting this past weekend in a major way. Leah was sick and was kind enough to contaminate the entire house. It was disgusting but as I cleaned up the vomit I found some humor in this little continuous fountain that came in the form of a child. Poor Leah was just so cuddly and quiet, I think she'll be a good sick kid. The worst part was dragging Paige and Leah to do the laundry. Two huge laundry bags, three garbage bags, a stroller and a baby bjourn- it was awesome! Why did we keep putting clean blankets on her? Anyway, I'm pretty sure we're over that and without anyone else getting sick!
3. I am loving exercising! Doug gave me a great Christmas gift this last year, a spinning bike, and I am so grateful. Doug and I switch off mornings so I go running every other morning and spin the others. I just love to sweat- it feels so awesome!
4. New York is kind of a difficult place to live with children but I'm starting to really like it here. I feel very lucky to have such great friends, I don't know what I would do without them. So here's a shout out to all you NYC peeps.
5. This is the last bit...I love my kids and my husband so much, they're the greatest ever! I am such a lucky girl.
Despite being sick, Leah still got excited to be with Paige.

Oh, yuck. I hate cleaning up throw up! I am sorry Leah was sick. Sick kids are no fun. I don't know how you do laundry in New York with two kids. Amazing! Maybe I can see you in action when we come help Jake move. You will have to get with Jake and let him know when you can hang out with us!
oh my gosh! i can't believe sister jensen comes home in two weeks!! Do you remember that I taught your sister in the MTC?! What a cute sister!! Have fun seeing her and tell her hi!--oh, i just remembered something about while she was there...one night i took her district to the RC and there was a guy teacher that they all told me i should go out with (i promise we actually were doing a lot of missionary work, but he was the teacher there that was helping us).....well, that's who i ended up marrying!!
You sound so great (aside from the vomit). It is great when you get into an exercise and life schedule. I feel better also since I have figured a few things out. We might be coming out there in the summer, so tell me if you will be there.
ewww sorry about all the throw up. that sounds great! I'm really excited for you when you get to have your own washer and dryer. and i am REALLY SUPER EXCITED to see you in dos semanas!!!! WHOOHOO!!
Actually you probably shouldnt take tips from me. You were so cute! Your little baby is so precious. How fun to have 2 cute little girls! Does she look like Leah did?
I must admit-- the barf's really stink--in more ways than one! Amber you're a saint hauling the laundry--It's reminding me of the good old days--I never take my washing machine for granted! Glad you get to go to AZ--I can't believe Karla is coming home already--I hope you have a fantabulous time!
I am so glad that we finally got some recognition as friends in NYC. :)
We love the Doxey's and we are so glad that everyone is feeling better!
See you Saturday for the big run (eh, walk)
Yay to you coming to AZ! Paul and I would love to see you guys! Christopher was sick a few weeks ago and it was no fun...so i hear you with the cleaning up throw up!
As a former two time staff member of Aspen Grove Family Camp, I can vouch for the issue of hauling barfy laundry. Since we teach our kids correct principles, we've instructed them to never barf in the bed. They always promptly make it to the proper recepticles with nary a drop on the floor, pajamas, or bed. It's too bad there are others who will probably read this, and know we're full of it too.
