I know that so many of you have well behaved kids so I just wanted to put this out there to get some ideas.
Besides this, I'm loving watching Leah grow. Paige smiled last week and is becoming quite the social baby- she always wants people around and if they are she's smiling.
I love this picture of Leah just having a good old time. Lately she likes to empty her drawers out and the other day she realized she could climb in, I had to take a picture before I told her it was a no no.
The cutest Paige Doxey ever!
Leah fell off her bed the other day and got a black eye, you can kind of see it. I think we need to introduce the "No more monkeys jumping on the bed" song.

Cute Amber. A hard lesson I just learned, they are babies. They don't understand, they are so little. My almost three year old doesn't always share. I think closer to 4 year olds learn to share. I make the mistake of expecting too much from Sam. I have to remember that they need me to be patient, remove things that make my life harder (toys that make messes, put crayons up high). Good luck with it. We are all trying.
well, since i've yet to give birth, I don't think i'll be much help, sorry. but if you do find soemthing that works, let me know so I can put it into future use.
i cant believe how jensen leah looks! paige looks a little more like doug the leah! yeah for doug! how is school going by the way?
i dont know what to do about sharing.... i bet my mom knows something good.. ill ask her!
My mother-in-law gave me some good advice once. She said to me one day when I was getting after Miles for not sharing to "Pick my Battles". Kids just won't share everytime. Sometimes a little attention redirecting can be the best tool you have as a parent.
But what do I know?
Kleven and his cousin Slade (Kari's) fight over everything ALL THE TIME! I got out a package of fruit snacks one day and we learned to share by passing them out one by one saying "Look I'm sharing with Kleven, now with Slade, now you're sharing with me, now Kleven"...and so on. They actually caught on! Klev's almost 3 and Slade's 2 1/2. I also "share" bites of my food, sips of water, we are sharing the wagon or stroller when there are two people in it, books if it's the two of us or more reading the same book, crayons when they are all out on the table. If you make it a habit to use the word for more than situations where there is already conflict it makes better sense. AND~ when I say "Thanks for Sharing" when I notice behavior that wasn't demanded (positive reinforcement) I can usually count on continued good behavior. Hope that helps! Sorry for a too long post!
Sorry- I forgot to mention the best part: Kleven actually asks and reminds US to "share" with him. That's how I know he gets it!
Don't know that I am much help with this problem. Aiden, Andrew, and Oakley fight over everything and anything. However, I did read the book 1,2,3, Magic and the theory is good, but actually practicing it is another thing. It does say not to start their discipline theory until kids are 2. Of course that doesn't mean no discipline, right?? Anyways, I wouldn't mind mailing the book if you want it!
Your girls are cute. It is so fun when babies start smiling! Your girls always have the cutest clothes too!
It's me again~ I remembered something else! Use the phrase "take turns" instead of share sometimes, since that's usually more appropriate for the situation. Make it a fun game between you and your child, take a turn using something really cool for five seconds, then hand it over for five seconds, then you get it back... and so on. Now don't go thinking my kid's well behaved! This is probably the ONLY thing he does nicely.
Hey if you figure it out let me know!! I have a couple of crazys!
We just teach our kids correct principles. :)
