Doug and I have been looking for a double jogging stroller for a while, our sights were set on the BOB but given our student status and the price of the BOB, we were looking for used ones. We had a single Baby Jogger and absolutely loved it. To make a long story short, we went out to Dicks Sporting Goods to look at the joggers to get an idea of what brands we like. All of their display strollers were %50 off but they had a Q-series double Baby Jogger that we loved (it wasn't a display). After 45 min of comparing and realizing I had to have the Baby Jogger, I ended up talking the manager into giving us %50 off. When we got to the register, the stroller rang up on sale for $329 and he still gave us %50. So we got a $400 stroller for $164. And here it is...Doug and I are so excited! This purchase will contribute a great deal to my sanity as a mother.

As you can tell, Leah's lovin it. It fold in half so easily- great for NYC living.

In other news, after snow forecasts often but never getting any and
experiencing the first January in around 70 years without recorded
snowfall...we finally got snow! It sure makes the city beautiful.

Here's to being a bad mommy. Leah has started to like PBS-kids, she's
vegging out to a little Curious George.

Paige's first Sunday dress (scored it on sale at Target for $4.00).
She's 5 weeks and already 11 1/2 lbs! She's starting to notice us and smile.
I love it, this is when I start to get really attached, she's so adorable.

I am so glad you got a double stroller. We have a running one too and it is awesome. Don't worry about Leah and PBS she'll be fine. Spence watches his fair share of TV but he has a huge vocabulary and I know that TV contributes to that - look on the bright side!!! IT is hard with two so close so sometimes TV is our only answer for a few minutes. Paige is so cute.
Cute girls. It is definitely okay that Paige is watching PBS. My kids watch some pretty questionable stuff with Trent. At least PBS is somewhat educational. Congrats on the stroller. It is so nice to be able to get out with your kids. We purchased a triple stroller when we had Paige and Morgan. Now we have a double and a triple and can go on walks as a family. I still don't know how you do it in New York with two babies! Hats off to you!
Hey~Good find! We had to have a double stroller with Lindsey and Katie too... it really did help with the sanity for me as well! Your girls are GORGEOUS! They are both so cute. Little Paige is just a beautiful baby! We cant wait to see her and Leah in person! But the blog helps us to feel like we are a part of things even so far away!
Good work on the double stroller! That's awesome! I'm sure you'll get LOTS of use out of it. That snow looks freezing! I've realized I really like AZ winters. Leah is getting so big and is a doll!!!
she is beautiful...I don't think it means your a bad mom if your child watches tv...just means you need a little sanity right? When you come out are you coming to AZ or just to UT? We would love to see you guys too!
Paige looks so precious in that dress.. love Target deals. Also love a little Curious George! Count it as a blessing :) We're ready for the snow to stop in Ohio- Spring will definitely help with the sanity factor. Enjoy your stroller!
Yae a double jogger! It looks really nice. Mine is a cheapy and always goes to one side which really makes my shoulder hurt, but on the bright side my right shoulder is getting really strong! How do you run in the snow with your kids? And your baby is very pretty! Her skin looks so pretty.
Totally worth it. I love ours. So much. And I think there is totally nothing wrong with some PBS in the mornings -- super WHY (our current favorite) teaches reading, right? Love the dress!
Holy cow!! How did you convince them 50% off?!! Nice!!! Yeah, so um...my husband was 11 1/2 lbs. when he was born!! I'm a little bit nervous about giving birth to our kids!
I love reading everything thats going on with you guys right now. I feel like I can totally relate to nearly every post. Great job on the Jogger. Thats an awesome deal for brand new jogger. We bought ours used on craigslist, and they still cost nearly that much! We love it though, and use it all the time. Isn't it great NOT being pregnant? Like you were saying--so much more energy, more motivation to go out and do things, and great exercising! Sounds like you are really doing well adjusting to having two kids at home. Way to go, Amber!
oh yeah...I was going to add that I'm a "bad" mom too. Elizabeth loves PBS kids, although I really try to limit it to times that I really need her occupied. =)
