One cute room in the house
Since we're currently in student loan status, I've had to accept that it'll be quite some time until I get to actually decorate a home. But, I just had to do something for Leah's (and the future baby's) room. Thanks to IKEA and Michaels, it turned out being pretty cheap, and it's finally a finished! Leah LOVES animals so this decor is perfect. And she's obsessed with the picture of herself on the wall.
I felt pretty proud of myself for this idea (b/c I'm not creative at all). These were 3 for $1 and I think they make a cute border.
Leah loves her room and I really enjoy it too- b/c she'll stay in there for a while. The other day, she was quiet for too long so I thought I'd check in on her- she was just reading. I Love it!
This is a picture from today- she found a new place to play in the kitchen and figured out how to turn the cabinet light on.

Man, you're good! I need some serious help with my decorating skills. Want to come to Oklahoma?
Student loan status is a weird thing, huh? You look at your bank account and think, "Yay, We're rich!" But then you think again and remember that you are collecting interest by the minute, so really, you're more poor than ever. It's so confusing@
So cute. I love the curtains...did you make them? Leah is so grown up - she is ready for her little sis. Sam would love it if our cupboards had lights in them!!!
Such a cute room! I love decorating and I have also had to learn how to do it cheap! It kind of makes it more fun!
Congrads on being pregnant. When are you due?
Wait I was reading some of the comments and noticed you know somewhat else who is in Oklahoma??? For what? Also, way cute. I wish we had an IKEA close by. I need cheap furniture desperately. Two of your kitchen chairs are broken laying on the floor in our kitchen. It really bothers Cooper that we have broken junky chairs laying around. It is funny, but it really does! He acts very concerned about it. wow, this is a long comment!
How Fun! Leah's room is so cute! How did you have time to do that? You're awesome. Allie wants me to look this up everyday so that she can see Leah, she misses her! You guys Rock!
I am quite impressed. I'm been obsessed with decorating shows lately, I feel like I could do anything, but i can't. I love it! Way to be cute and savvy. Good work!
very cute amber, I love it. Cant wait to see it in person.
I love that cupboard, that is a great hide and seek spot too!
Cooper turned 2 in August. Drew has a year left after this May, and he will be done with Dental school. But, he will be going on to do a Periodontal program or Oral surgery. That will be another 4 years. WAYYYYY TO LONG. WAYYYYYYYYYYY TO LONG. I hope we survive~
How long does Doug have?
hey. we are still planning on a trip down for sure...we are thinking over veterans day weekend. we'll see. we are actually planning on going up to salem soon b/c we've heard it's a lot of fun during halloween! you guys should come and you definitely have a place to stay if you want.
I know what you mean about decorating on a budget. We're squeezed in pretty tight right now, and I can't wait until we can get a house! Her room looks so cute!
Cute room Amber, my little girl will be gone for a while too and I find her reading. And now she likes to recite books to me. I guess it is good because I never liked to read, I could not sit there very long. ADD i guess!
Me likey
Cute room. That is very impressive, especially with a small budget. I am trying to figure out how to decorate on a small budget at this point in life too. I'm excited to see your new baby, hopefully she will look just like Leah. I tell Glen that her and Matthew should hook up when they are older. They would make a cute pair. haha
Did you sew your curtains? Good job Amber! Leah is so sweet in the cupboard! I love that picture!
How Cute! That is a very cute border, and I love that picture of her...too cute :) What a sweetheart just reading her books, love it!
