We took a very needed family vacation to the bay area. We were too cheap to stay in Monterey Bay so we stayed in Salinas, which was awesome and ghetto but we were able to see more of the fruit basket of America.
The highlights of the trip were:
- Swimming at the hotel pool
- Monterey Bay aquarium, our favorite room was the jelly fish.
- Dennis the Mennis park
- Riding a surrey as a family along the bay
- Looking for crabs in the bay
- Stopping to watch a surf competition in San Jose
- Seeing the Red Wood National forest

| For a Memorial day celebration, there was a whole camp set up and reenactments of a Revolutionary battle. The men and woman who volunteer for this have to live as close to the times as possible so it was pretty fun to see how they would have survived back then. |
