June 2015

I love our extended Fall, Winter, and Spring breaks but I'm not the biggest fan of going to school through late June. Summer is just so short. We manage to take advantage of the fun summer weather any opportunity we can. These are the haps in June.
Lots of sprinkler fun in the front yard. The kids don't seem to last long in the water but it cools them down nicely. And who doesn't love making "bum marks" on the sidewalk?

Super baby Sydney.

We've started to take out trees and stumps in our back yard with hopes of future landscaping. Lots of hard work!

I call this, "Pick on someone your own size!"
The Nielsen's do an end of the year Ice Cream party every year. Its eat it out of a rain gutter...super fun!

I found this in our front yard one morning, I don't think this bird survived the attack.

Beautiful sunsets on a date night with Doug.

Leah loves to steal my phone and take selfies for me to find later.

Brigham adores Sydney they just have something special between one another.

Swimming at the Somerset pool.

When there's good weather, you will find us hiking, This was a particularly hot hike and the girls started out very grumpy but it ended up beautiful and almost everyone was happy.

Date night with Leah and Paige to MiMi's cafe. I'm sure there will be many more bathroom girl shots in our future.

The girls have started fighting so much lately and we are totally fed up with it. So I decided to have a no tolerance policy and I just say "100 rocks."  If I say that they have to go pick up 100 rocks from the flower beds (we're trying to get rid of those rocks). Its effective sometimes.

One day Doug's first patient canceled so he turned around and came back home for a bit. I looked outside and found him like this. I found so many things funny about this scenario, the main one being that he'll smell like grass the rest of the day but it didn't seem to bother him.

And our rose bushes that we assumed were dead proved that they are thriving.
