We're experience a drought, the whole west coast has been for a while. There have been a number of fasts, multi-religious efforts, which I think is pretty neat. This last fast Sunday, again, we were asked to fast for moisture. Leah has been trying to fast ever since her baptism. Its a hard thing to start doing and she hasn't been the biggest fan. However, aware of the hype for the combined fast, she decided to give it her best effort.
The forecast never changed but Monday morning, even with the current weather status reading 'sunny' it started raining. There is nothing like experiencing the obvious blessings from Heavenly Father after we apply faith. I was so excited to pick the girls up from school because I knew they would have recognized the blessing in the rain.
Before I could say anything, Leah mentioned it. She even went up to Mrs. Fryer and said, "I know why its raining right now. Because we fasted for it." I am so proud of her and wish we all had that faith and strength to just open our mouths.
