Utah is one of my favorite places to celebrate Independence day. We often miss celebrating the Fourth because we're usually at a Gibson/Doxey family reunion somewhere. But this year, after many requests to stay in Provo we got to enjoy all it has to offer.
The Provo city parade is such a blast. The kids loved it!

| No better person to watch the parade with than Grammie...the most patriotic person around. |
Bry and Cheri hosted a BBQ followed by their three-tiered water slide.
Good food, great company. So. Much. Fun!
When the kids decided they had had enough on the slide, they retired to the hot tub...
...then the adults really had some fun on the slide.
A big group of us hiked to Stewart Falls, turns out 799 other people thought of doing it at the same time. The trail was packed but its such a great hike. Grammie even made it. She's determined!
Since Utah now allows citizens to purchase large fireworks, the whole valley was going crazy. It was so much fun. Paige is still a bit scared of the loud noise they make so she stayed inside but Syd and Leah go used to them and even held a sparkler...which is big!
On my birthday, we hung out with Ryan and Amber's family. I just really like these guys.
For part of my gift, Doug watched all the kids and sent Amber and I to go do a bit of shopping.
What a sweetie.
As Doug was playing with these two, Blake said, "you're fun, you're like an uncle!" Apparently, Blake has a lot of fun with his uncles. I love it!

We found this amazing park in Day Break. Some of the time was spent in the shade, trading Pockemon cards, of course!
I wish I was better at taking pictures, but we met up with the Eastman's, our dear friends from NYC and got to meet their new (but now 11 months) twins.
