I was chatting with some friends the other day and as is common, parenting was the topic of conversation. One of the ladies was asking for suggestions and everyone chirped in with what they do.
One of my friends said,
"I feel like this worked because I strongly believe in it. Not because someone told me it worked for them. Not because I read it in a book, saw it on a talk show, or because its the latest thing. I believe in it and so it worked."
I was really impressed with this approach to parenting. I feel like we are bombarded with tips, do's, and don't's, it becomes very overwhelming. From now on, I'm going to try to parent based on what I feel and believe to be best for my child.
