Determination and a little bit of work ethic

As far as parenting goes, I have no idea if we are doing a good job or not. As far as I can tell, we fail more than we succeed. One of the most important things I stress is the ability to work hard. And learn about/how to manage money.
I found these great daily duty charts in the $1 spot at Target a while back, they've come in so handy.
We trade some of the chores on a weekly basis and some are the same no matter what. The deal is:
25 checks = $1
35 checks = $2
and if they do every single job every day, they can earn $5.

Paige has always been my hardest worker. She takes pride in organizing and once she puts her mind to a task, she does it quickly and well. One week she set her mind to earn the full $5. And she did it. She was so task oriented that it was almost annoying. Clearing the table before we were done eating, practicing the piano before the rest of the family woke up in the morning. But I loved watching her determination through out the week. What a great trait to have!
