Random stuff

I'm getting more and more lazy as I enter the third trimester, quite honestly it's quite depressing to see that countdown on my blog. I was so excited to enter the double-digits but 87 days is still so flippin long- esp when everything uncomfortable and painful is worse and happening sooner this time around. Bless my mom and her body for going through this eight times!

On a good note, Doug only has 15 more days until graduation, oh excuse me, I meant Dr. Doxey. Even better, he has the best rotation this last month, it's only two weeks long and so he's done on Thursday! Let me say that again. Doug is DONE ON THURSDAY! No more classes, clinicals, nothing. I'm so excited for him. We get to enjoy him for a whole month before he becomes a resident slave.

Do you ever fill out those survey's from Target? The ones that by doing so you get entered for a chance to win a $5,000 gift card? I get elated every time my receipt is printed out with one attached- I fill it out every time. I even know the rules, that you can only fill it out once a month for it to count, so I do one for Doug and one for me each month, if I'm lucky. I think I've totally set myself up for major disappointment because I know exactly how I would spend almost every dollar of that- is that ridiculous or what?

So we found a place in Vineland, we're still going through the application process but I'm so excited to move in. It's a three-bedroom, two and a half bath town home. Here are some things I'm looking forward to:
  • Washer/dryer IN OUR HOUSE. And even better, upstairs with all the bedrooms. Sorry to rub it in to my New York friends, but you'd probably do the same, right?
  • Dishwasher! Didn't find out if there is a garbage disposal, but I can continue to go without if there isn't one.
  • Storage space and lots of it. We may not even need to put up any of our ugly wire racks.
  • Assigned parking spot 10 feet from the front door- on ground level. This means if my kids fall asleep while running errands, I don't have to wake them up and deal with walking a few blocks with grumpy, screaming children. Not to mention the number of trips back to the car to get groceries or what ever. Beautiful!
  • Grass. Trees. Space. Bring it on.
  • Wal-Mart. I used to be semi-anti, along with many other people who despise the monopoly. But since moving to New York, I've fallen in love with the low-prices and can't wait to make a one-stop shopping trip.
  • The Library, it has an awesome children's section...I think we'll be spending a lot of time there.
For the record, there are many things we're going to miss about Queens, we've loved it, I'm so happy that we're still semi-close to our friends.

So here's what takes place at our house on a daily basis- it's getting really old. Everyday, the girls "pack". Usually they're getting on the "a-pane" to see Allie but sometimes their moving. They dump all their toys, books, blankets, everything into the "a-pane." Love it.

I failed to mention that 99% of the time, the plane is in our room, and now that they've perfected packing, it's beginning to spill into the hallway too.

So proud of themselves. Today Paige came and told me, "Ok, we have everything in ours a-pane."

Just chattin away on his cell phone.
I'm debating if I should send it in and ask for all our ticket money back.

That is so funny- the girls and their a-pane. My boys have never flown on one. Well Spencer did when he was 4 months old but that doesn't really count. They would be totally jealous if they knew how many times your girls have "gotten" to fly. You are so funny - really Amber you are a kick in the pants. I sooooo wish we lived by each other. We could run together, Rich and Doug could be silly together and we could go to Target together and share our great deals with each other since I know Rich is sick of hearing about my deals. Is Doug?!?!? Oh and I really think you should show that photo to someone - it is worth a shot right!?!?!

Oh, wow...I guess that makes me count my blessings that our boys don't "pack." Wyatt's "experiments" and inventions are bad enough. That would put me right over the edge!! You amaze me at what a great mom and how patient you are!!
