The Haps

I've been really bad at capturing daily life as well as the many adventures that we've had. Not to mention our internet has been totally slow -oh that was so 2002- but here are some updates of what we've been up to:
  • The girls and I went to Colorado for "braces weekend." We spent about a week there and the girls were in heaven playing with the Crane posse and then the rest of the cousins for the weekend. It is so fun to have so many girl cousins who just pamper my girls any time they're around. I had fun hanging out with the in-laws, definitely don't get enough time with such a fun crew. Thanks again to Mark and Cos for everything!
  • We've taken a few trips down to Vineland to look for housing and have found out that the rental market is next to non-existent. We've gotten "lost" a couple times and have discovered some amazing areas down there and are quickly falling in love with the beautiful wide-open spaces. We go again this weekend...wish us luck!
  • Amber Lee and her kids came to visit us for spring break and again, loved time with the cousins- even in such close quarters. Robbie was so funny, he was very confused about the fact that the two vans had to park and "different houses." He came in and went straight to playing, within 15 min he came up to me and asked "Is this your home?" I replied that it was and he says, "oh...it's kind of different." When we walked in the front door, Aubrie took off her shoes and put them by the front door (very good manners). She was shocked when we told her that wasn't our house and she needed to carry her shoes up the to the third floor. They were so funny the whole time- here's just one last thing I thought was so cute: (we're riding on the subway into the city, at this point above the ground) Robbie: "Aubs, look this is the big city." Aubrie: "I can't believe we're in this big city. We are so lucky, and we're on the train." Robbie: "There's a yellow taxi. I see another one." Leah: (casually and slightly annoyed) "No, guys this is NEW YORK CITY!" atta-girl

Paige loved taking care of "baby" Hallie. Even though she's just as taller and heavier than her, Hallie was a good sport for the most part.

Paige and Hallie were fascinated with the turtles at the Zoo.

Leah, Paige, and Ellie having fun at the Crane's house.

And finally can't get enough of the beach and these girls in their glasses. We're excited to be heading south to find out what the Jersey shore has to offer.

Your little family is just darling! I love seeing your girls playing together and knowing that my girls will be at that stage someday - hopefully soon. It's driving me crazy having a toddler who wants to hug, pull, poke, stab her newborn sister. It's a 24/7 job. I'm exhausted.

I hope you're feeling all better. I think of you every now and then and hope you're doing well.
