Things are looking a little better

I went outside to our car this morning to get the jogging stroller to find a ticket for $165!!!! Doug worked the night shift and didn't notice that he was partially blogging a pedestrian ramp. We just paid $120 for expired safety inspections (apparently in NYC you don't do it every two years with emissions, it's every year. We didn't know that). I can't think of a better way to waste $300. I love this city.

Amber,
I am so sorry! It seems that when it rains it pours...maybe even hails. I wish more then anything right now I could hop on a plane and come be with you and your girls! You have always meant the world to me and although, we weren't able to get together last time you were here you have no idea how much I appreciate your love and concern. Please lets go to lunch or something next time I see you. I told Mike that our next trip is to head to the city and come visit you. I love you and am praying hard for you.

Ever since the comment you left on my blog, I've been wondering about you and what was going on. I just got done reading your last two posts and heart is breaking for you. Honestly, I've been trying not burst into tears. My heart hurts for you in your struggles. Why does life have to be hard? Ugh. I just want happiness and sunshine all the time. But, I guess that's not what the deal was.
Oh, I just wish I could be there to help with your girls, do your laundry, pay your tickets, and then take you out to lunch. We'll for sure keep your guys in our prayers. We love you guys!

So I've been reading all of the comments posted by your friends and family and am touched by the love that they all have for your family. What strength that comes, and must be felt with a knowledge that others are utilizing so much of their thoughts and "spiritual energies" to plead with the Lord in your behalf. I want you both to know that your family has not left my mind for the past week and the Lord hears these cries. I love you and want you to know that I am not just praying that Doug will get a residency, but also that you all will find comfort amidst these trials and truly feel the love of our Father in Heaven at this time.

Call me if you would ever like to just talk! Love you!

When we moved to SF we accidently parked (fully, not partially) in someone's driveway. When we came out from signing our lease, my brothers car was being towed. We paid $10 to take a cab to the towing place, $383 to get the car, and $88 for the ticket. It was a great way to say "welcome to San Francisco" I feel your pain!
