In our family, we have a tradition of doing 'I Love You's' on birthdays, here are a few of Leah and Paige's reasons why they love their Daddy (two for each decade of his LONG life).
1. Dad and Mom are best friends and have so much fun together- after-all that's why they got married!
2. Even though Dad's 30, he plays with us like he's still 29- he makes a conscious effort to give enough time to his family and really knows how to make us laugh.
3. Dad is such a hard worker, around the house, in school, with his church calling, and in every aspect of his busy life. Thid is a great example of how we be.
4. Dad has the perfect amount of patience for Mom when she's in a bad mood.
5. Dad has the greatest perspective on life, nothing is big enough for him to loose his cool.
6. Dad is a friend to everyone, and very aware of others around him. Even all of our friends really like him.
We love you Daddy!

Happy Birthday Doug! I can't believe your 30!! It was fun to see you in AZ. Love the pics Leah and Paige. (Amber I Lilly has that red stripped dress Leah is wearing, we'll have to take pics of Lilly and Paige in them together when you come down again)

It's your birthday SHOUT hooray!! Ya--I think that was one of my first memories of Doug too--kind of smelly! And look what he's become now! A Super Star--the best Dad, Podiatrist, Saint, Uncle, and Brotha, and the list goes on! Happy Birthday!
In a way, we all have a little Douglas in us (literally and figuratively). For some, it might be a youthful verve. For others, it might be air guitar skills. But for us, it happens to be the actual El Dooglas that makes us laugh and cry. Would be to all that you could know Douglas as we know him. Grant that Douglas might understand to workings of the foot.
