Family home evening is is a constant on Monday nights in our home. How successful it is not constant.
We are trying though.
We usually do something called 'parts' after the lesson. We stole the idea from my brother's family. It is a time when the kids get to "perform" anything they want for us or do show and tell. It usually consists of ballet dancing from each one of the girls. Lately, they have wanted to do multiple parts and it drags on, which is horrible to say but Mondays are late for Doug so we're always pushing into bedtime.
Last Monday, Doug took over the activity and had the girls do a "team [family] building" experience.
He taught them how to build a pyramid and while they were in form, he explained the importance of each person in the pyramid. I loved every second of it, and the girls responded quite well to the lesson involved. So grateful I captured this sweet memory.

This was Leah's part one week. She actually thought of doing something in advance! She walked in the door from school and got to work on this story with the picture. Love it!
| Once upon a time there was a pretty princess and she went on a walk and she saw a witch, she fainted from the witch. The End. |
