Right before we left for our long trek, Leah decided she wanted to ride a bike without training wheels. I was watching a friends' kids and Leah asked if she could ride the bike, I quickly replied that I couldn't help her and she could try it if she wanted but might get hurt. Just like a great mother, I didn't pay much attention to her until it dawned on me that she had been riding up and down the drive-way without any problem. I was ecstatic!
She told me, "It's easy, all you have to do is balance!" Thinking back to the last couple of times we were around cousins, I remember her studying how Robbie and Aubrie ride their bikes.
I love watching Leah and I really love that I didn't have to teach her, I lack patience in that area.
