Leah no longer goes to school, and it's great.
We decided three weeks ago to hold her until next year. For many reasons.
First, she cried for over a month every time I dropped her off. Then when she came home, she was so exhausted and unpleasant; mean to me and her sisters, never willing to help out. Then she never wanted to leave home, even on the weekends she would cry and say, "no, I don't get to stay at home a lot. I'm not going anywhere."
This is not the Leah we've known.
Many people told me to expect this for the first little while, but it didn't get better. She just turned five, so finally we realized we don't need to force to do something she isn't emotionally ready for.
I'm happy to say that the happy, loving, helping, bubbly girl is back in our lives. We missed her!

Wow - that is good that she is feeling better. I bet Leah is so happy and she'll be ready next year. Tell the girls we said hi. Maybe I should post some current pics so they know what we are up to!!
Sounds like a great decision. We had a smiliar experience with Dallin this year--only it was preschool we decided to keep him home from. These kids need more time home with their mamas. :)
