Happy Birthday Paigey Girl

Paige had quite the extended birthday for a 3-year old. Doug knew he would be working late on her actual birthday, the 18th, so we decided to celebrate on Saturday. Paige asked to go to IKEA and get mac n' cheese- pretty easy to please! We did 'I love you's' (a family tradition where you get to tell the Birthday person why you love them, and opened presents. She was so fun to watch, I just love when they glow because they feel so special!

On her actual b-day, I put together a small playgroup party. Paige requested dress-ups and making crowns for everyone. We had everyone over for homemade pizza, Piage's favorite, and really it was quite enjoyable for me to get in some mommy time too.

Most of the girls at her party- everyone was so kind and brought presents, which made Paige feel so special and she kept organizing them all day.

I was glad Paige picked out one of the easier options for her cupcakes.

Paige loves Snow White so this gift from Grandma couldn't have been more perfect. I think she looks pretty dang cute. Even Disney princess' can be sporty!

Sydney's turn for 'I Love You's' Paige is a good big sister.

Leah's 'I love you's' These girls are such great friends. When they fight, we have a thing where mom has to remind them that they are best friends so they give each other a hug and say "Best Friends." I hope they remain that way.

Paige got a "cutar" and immediately asked Doug to pick up his so they could rock out.
The expression on her face is classic.

So sweet. She is one happy little 3 year old. I am starting to think that celebrating with dad on the weekend and then celebrating with a few friends on the actual day might be the route to take. Thanks for the inspiration!!
